then i put my black wolfrace voodoo's on it and dropped it 40mm with whiteline springs

then i had the boost upped to 1.1 bar and it made 293bhp but big ends went at the same time Cry

now the plan was to build a stupid big power SR20VE-T by using the DET block and VE head but lots of machine work was involved and then i was made redundant from work when i was half way into the build. so the VE engine went into the almera.

i have an SR16VE sat at work all stripped down, now the new plan for the R as of just the other day is...

rebuild the SR16VE with forged pistons and rods, slap a nice juicy turbo on it, put the GTiR gearbox and transfer box on it but remove the front driveshafts and weld plates over the shaft holes, resulting in an SR16VE-T RWD sunny Shocked

it will be a slow one but im determined not to give up on the R as it has only seen 6 months of U.K roads and the shell is sooooooo clean, even the bolts on the wishbones and the rear diff are still like new Smile

you do have all the power, but after a while it just stops, and if your lucky you can catch rod's :D

It took me 2 SR20DE's to finally find out what i was doing wrong, and what went wrong. Now i am changing the oil every 3000 miles = about 5000 km look every stopsign to my oil pressure :D

i know exactly what you mean dude. its that crap oil cooler, once you start upping the boost it cant cope, so when mine went on the dyno and got abused, it finally started knocking whilst on the dyno.

one of the 1st things i would recommend to all gtir owners is a decent oil cooler
